proved his right to these Certficates. I will take these Certificates, as if they were negociable promissory notes payable to Order: and so I think they are to civil purposes although not to criminal purposes.
After endorsement they may be considered as payable to bearer. But then the endorsement must be blank. Here, after the Blank endorsement, there are endorsements sign’d by Mr. Pollard which shew that the propriety of the Certificates was in the Bank.
