1793. Sessions. [Monday] June 10.

Sir William Jones was not in Court, because he thought it was better to stay at his Country House at Ariff-na-gur to pursue his Studies, than to come into Court when there was very little of importance expected to be done.
The Lord Chief Justice had written the Charge, and re’d it to the Grand Jury.
I ask’d for a Copy of it and he promised that at some future time I should have it.
I left the Court soon after the Charge was deliver’d because I was not very well and return’d to my House at Chowunghy where I began
