may sometimes know the Wtses personally, and always can form some opinion of their credibility from the manner in which they deliver their viva voce testimony; yet in case of an appeal, the depositions are sent home, and the Lords of the Council, who are to decide by the evidence before them, have not the same means of distinguishing the degrees of credit to which different wtses are entitled.
As to the Rel: from Deft to Nilmunny. Let us see how it stands, and how it can operate.
