1778. Sessions. Saturday June 13th.

Saturday June 13th 1778.
Present
Sir Robert Chambers
&
Mr. Justice Hyde.

[Triple Line]
Heideram
Tried for Burglary.
The Indictment charged him with stealing many Gold and Silver things out of the Dwelling House of Gowr Sunder Adicarry, in Calcutta, Burglariously.
The Goods were named in the Indictment by the Bengal names with English Explanations of the meaning of those names, which seems to me to be the right way, but Mr. Justice Chambers said he thought, where there was no proper English Translation of the Bengal word, that no other than the Bengal name should be used. However nothing turn’d on this Point at present.
