Secretary’s Letter appointing the Committee. qu. v.
Insists that the plaint is vicious – the allegations therein false, for it asserts that on the 27 Aug: 1790, Price had bn charged with frauds before G. G. in Col which he charges were contained in a Lr &c (Preamble) whereas (says he) there is no letter of the 27th Aug 1790. He then quotes 1 Hawkins Pl: Cr: 193 as to a scandalous letter sent but not published.
The letter sent to Mr. Larkins were in fact made publick only by himself. This seems to be said
