of Oct: 1790 the said Thomas Lloyd did apply to this Deponent to pay the amount of the said Judgment and did represent to this Deponent that by settling the same at that period to this Deponent would thereby save the further Costs of Issuing Execution and Sheriffs Poundage. This Deponent did agree to give his note of hand for the Judgement and Costs in this Cause payable in 14 days; And this Deponent further saith that on or about the 14th day of Nov: he did sign the said Note B at the request of the said Thomas Lloyd delivered to this Deponent by Mr. Bradshaw, And did deliver the same to him; that on or about the 3d day of Dec: 1790 the said promissory Note hereunto annexed was presented for payment to this Deponent, by a Sircar belonging to the Bengal Bank, upon which this Deponent did pay and satisfy to the said Sircar, in compliance with the Indorsement of the said Thomas Lloyd in the said Notes, the sum of Sicca Rupees 7,285.12.6.
