to be usury. [Note by J. H.] The Case is Lamego v Gould; And it appears by Burrow’s Report that Lamego also gave a Note to Gould, and it was a bet upon the Life of the Wife of Gould aged Seventy years, against the Life of an Horse belonging to Lamego.
The Proviso in the Deed also shews the same Contract. It shews by the Proviso that it was a purchase, and not a loan. If I had meant
