1781. 3 Term. [Saturday] July 7th

The Notion that the Statute of King Charles the Second was local and confined to England and did not extend to Bengal was started yesterday by me from the Penalties being recoverable only in the Courts in Westminster Hall.

There was a Non-Suit on the Evidence, so that Nothing relative to the extent of the Statutes against Gaming was determined in this Cause.
