I will now state from Cowper’s Reports (Page ) the Doctrine of Innuendoes, in the Case of Rex v Horne, for the Libel on the Case of the people kill’d by the King’s Troops in Masachuset’s Bay.
Plain Words must be understood in their obvious and known Sence, and need no Innuendoes, the use of Innuendoes is to explain the meaning of words otherwise obscure.
