as had been determined lately in two Causes, wherein the calling Witnesses in reply had been strenuously contended for.
The Court without hesitation pronounced Judgment for the Plaintiff on the two Bengal Promissory Notes, for Thirteen Thousand Sicca Rupees with Interest. It appear’d to the Court, that nothing was due on the sett-off, which was attempted concerning a reward of Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred and odd Sicca Rupees
