Mr. Ledlie: For the Defendant.
The Plaintiffs have no right to call the Defendant to account, for they were not duly Elected.
If they rely on the Election of the Inhabitants, there is the same authority for discontinuing this suit.
It was been carried on meerly to gratify the Pride and Obstinacy of the Complainants and therefore they ought to pay the Costs.
