The Court has Jurisdiction by the Charter over persons not before Subject to any English Law, or Court.
That Mr. Varelst has had Attornies here, seems to my Friend a very extraordinary assertion.
The Court will take notice the Ocean is between us and England. Persons in England do there business by Attorinies.
Mr. Court being in England is One of the Circumstances to shew we are intitled to the defence of the Statute of Limitations.
The Plea concludes with the Statute to shew to what conclusion the other facts find.
