Ion to correct it, more than a Bengally who could not read English should insist on having the whole of his deposition read and translated to him before he signed it. I said I had often seen by English Witnesses in this Court a bad use made of their reading their depositions, for they corrected them by striking out what they had really said.
Sir Robert Chambers. I think he has a right to read his Deposition if he desires it, before he signs it: otherwise I think a Witness can never be convicted of Perjury, merely upon proving his Deposition, It is too late for him to read it to cay but he may read it to morrow,
