The Court have considered the nature of the Offence and the Circumstances of both Parties. A libel on a mean Person is not the same Injury to him, as on a Person in an high office.
We have also considered what the Defendant said himself yesterday , that he used to get Two Thousand Rupees a Month by the Publication of the very News Paper, for the Publication of One of which this Action is brought.
