I do not remember any or English gentleman [ILL] Rampersaud collected money there for the company, & must have been known to the gentln & his [ILL] I visited no man there except Rampersaud. I know not what business he did. He promised me a good place, but [ILL] from the [ILL] a [ILL]. I heard that Ramconny Curr was not then there. he sd if I wd accept the place of measurer, he would recommend me to it.
