Allowed by the Court to be any Evidence.
There was no determination of the Court, whether if it had been proved that this Paper was signed by Mr. Ogier, and that he was a Notary Publick, and that the Seal was also his, it would have been proof of the Fact of Non Payment.
But it seemed to me that the Chief Justice had Sir Robert Chambers inclined to think it would have been so, which I think a conventient doctrine, but I doubht whether the Courts in Westminster Hall have allowed of such Evidence.
