Short Notes. [Monday] July 23.
According to a Rule in the Cause to Examine some Witnesses for the Defendant, who it was said were brought from Banaras, and were obliged to go back to Banaras before next Term.
It was stated for the Defendant that nothing was due, that the Demand was on pretence of a Transaction on which a promissory Note in Nagree had been given about Eighteen years ago, on which a suit had been determined at Banaras in favour of the Defendant, but that the present plaintiff after having exhibited the same
