Sent by the Agent of the Company, and of the Servant of Gonganarain Roy, because the Gomastah of Gonganarain insisted there was more Salt in those Golahs than the Quantity Mortgaged.
The Sheriff’s Officers came once to seize this Salt on an Execution, as the property of Monnick Chund Roy and Ramdullah Roy, and the Company’s Peons with the assistance of some Sepoys as it was reported, drove away the Sheriff’s Bailiffs.
Another Execution was Issued in the same Cause on which the Salt was seized and the Sheriffs Officers remain’d in Possession to the present time, and some Peons under the Orders of Mr. Henry Vansittart
