Mr. Brix. We are willing to put off the Cause, to give the Defendant time to Plead any thing, on his agreeing to pay us the Costs of this day.
Sir E. Impey. It would be in vain for us to award Costs, when the Legislature in England have taken away the Jurisdiction of the Court over those Persons after the passing that Act, over wheom by the Act itself it appears the Court had by the former Act Jurisdiction. When we know the Act if becomes in Force here.
