there attempted to drag the deceased towards his Bungalow when the deceased grappled with him & they both fell together to the ground – A number of people by this time assembled – but no one attempted either to relieve the deceased or to assault the prisoner. They were separated by Mr. Williams (pointing to him) – Prisoner went to his own house – Mr. Williams went away – leaving a crowd about the deceased. Much blood flowed from the wound on the Shoulder and from that on the elbow.

Knew the deceased. Saw a gentleman with a Benjally go to deceased’s house, had then no weapon in his hand – he returned to his own house and came out with a sword in the Scabbard – he went towards [Haj uj Malls?] garden – Witness stopt to speak to a man – he heard a noise – turnt to the place whence the noise came – he saw the Gent having fast hold of the deceased, and with the sword drawn gave deceased
