1783. 2 Term. [Monday] March 17.

Chandernagore in the Province of Bengal, Inhabitant, being a British Subject, and therefore a Person Subject to the Jurisdiction of the Honourable Court, for that &c.
The Oath was admitted to have been taken, with the Proviso annexed, not to serve against the most Christian King.

Mr. Davies. 14 H[?]. 4. 20. An alien born, will continue an Alien though he take the Oath to the King of England.

After having taken the Oath produced, he was put in Prison with other of the French Subjects in the year 1781, and was released under a written Parole to surrender again to Prison if required.
