Vialars & Co had in the hands of their agent at Mauritius 19798 SR or rather as I conceive 18889 SR in the currency that island to 108,893 Livres [on rather as I compute at 2 SR for 11 Francs, 108,889 Francs] which seems, in consequence of their instructions, was advanced to Charlet the Supracargo to be paid to Mariners, & expended on the ship &c. For that money Faure Garnier & Rael on the 11th August 92 took a security from Chastel acknowledging that that sum was the property of Plaintiffs and hypothecating the ship to them delivering it at the same to a new Captain Denau De Boulez for their use.
