When W. O. Hunter went to Mozufferpur near Patna in June 91, I was sent by Deft to manage the business (indigo &c) & to supply money, for which I might apply to money lenders, or draw on Deft.
A was granted by me. I borrow’d money for Mr. H’s use & gave the lender this note in the name of Deft d. 30 April 1792.

And then began a cross examination which lasted till 5 o’clock P.M. and which may be read at pleasure, I do not say with pleasure.
