1796. Second Term. [Wednesday] March 9th.

=roughs, stated that he had a Letter from the Defendant himself, written very lately, which was very important to the decision of the Cause, and which he urged he had now a right to produce and give in Evidence. He urged, that new Evidence having arisen would be a reason for granting a New Trial, and therefore he ought to be permitted to give it in Evidence now, and not wait for a Judgment, which might be against the Plaintiff, and then move for a New Trial.
