Evidence was given which could affect the Prisoner and that they must therefore find him Not Guilty, but that as it seem’d probable the Death of Mr. White was occasion’d by that unlawful kind of combat call’d a Duel, he would for the sake of the Audience state what the Law of England was relative to that unlawful Practice.
