The 5th Exception, is to the Master’s Allowance of Interest at the Rate of Ten per Cent whereas it is said nine per Cent only should have been allow’d because it appears the parties to the Contract for the Opium paid to each other only Nine per Cent. And also grounded on the Hindoo Law, that the Interest is never to exceed the Principal.
