William Bruere Esquire Secretary to the Governor General and Council in their General Department Attended the Court on Thursday Dec. 8th 1785, and deliver’d a Verbal Message, of the import of that on the other side of this half sheet of Paper, and left with the Clerk of the Crown a written Paper, which I have copied on the other side. This is the usual way in which the Court send a Verbal Message to the Governor-General and Council concerning the nomination of Sheriffs, yearly on the First Tuesday in December.
