We carried the body to Mr. Motte’s, afterwards we put into into the River. I believe the Child died by twisting the Neck or by strangling.

I always took the Prisoner to be an honest Man, I have known him from his Infancy. He lives in my Neighbourhood. He never was suspected of any crime but this. The Child went to his House, therefore he was suspected.
