Mr. Tilghman, Moved to set aside a Judgment by confession for irregularity.
The irregularity complain’d of was that the warrant of Attorney did not authorize the Judgment.
The Case Mr. Tilghman stated was that a joint and several bond had been given by Ramkissen Muckerjee the Defendant and another man (by name I think Monohur Muckerjee) for a sum of money to be paid to the Plaintiff Radacunt Chuckerbutty: That there was a power of Attorney to appear and confess a Judgment, which was joint only “to appear” for us, and to confess a Judgment against us” and this power was not several.
