[ILL], & at last in 1774, was appointed to the same office, tho’ differently modified [Shorthand] Gunga Govind Sing now enjoys.
He in that office enriched the raiots & increased the Company’s revenues. Yet on the Death of Col. Monson, he was turned out of office, but without any stigma or accusation.
