inform’d the Maratta Fouzdar offer’d to send four or five Thousand Men to protect Mr. Marriot from any process of this Court. He swore Mr. Marriot wrote to him that he would Obey the Orders of the Governor-General and Council who sent him there, but he would Obey no Orders of the Court. Mr. Marriot wrote to the Bailiff that “the Factory was not within the Company’s Limits.”
The affidavit being deficient particularly in not stating sufficiently the Circumstances of the situation of the place where the arrest was made, time was given to move again on more compleat affidavits.
Mrs. Cotes
moved for Administration to the Goods of her late Husband, with his Will annexed. No Citations having Issued the Motion was refused, and the Register was directed in all cases to Issue Citations, as well when the claim to Administration was as Widow, as in any other right.
