compound with Cantea Nai, to whom the Prisoner (Dattaram) used frequently to come: & G’roo Persaud lived with Cantea, some not constantly but sometimes 10 or 12 days at a time when he came to Calcutta. Cantea was his brother in law.
I was acqd with Cantea but not with Dattaram; I was more acqd with G’roo Persaud than with Dattaram.
I don’t know how either G’roo Pd or Dattaram got a livelihood.
