& did not go out of the house.
I was taken ill the latter end of Maug; -- 10 or 12 days ago. I was in my lodgings when a man came & told me I was wanted at the Courthouse. I came but found the Court was risen. I went home again. I walked both hither and back again.
My house is in the [Burra?] Bazar adjoining to Gocul Kishore Seat’s.
Qu. Then you were well enough to walk hitther & back again but not well enough to give evidence.
A. I was ill of the gripes yet being [required?] I came slowly as I could – but I was not well enough to stand here for 2 or 4 Gurnies together.
