A. The other Pike & I both cook our victuals and eat within the gateway of Gopy Nazir’s house. One cooking place is at a very little distance from the gate, (2 or 3 Cubits,) it is cover’d with mats & has mats for walls but has no door. While one of us cooks or eats the other is watching.
Qu. Is there any door wherewith to shut the gate way?
A, No – there is no door to the gateway; but there is a door at the bottom of the stairs.
