Ld Camden says suppose
[ILL] is against Law be granted, such as no justice of peace, or other magistrate high or [ILL] whomsoever has power to issue, whether that magistrate or justice who grants such warrant, or the officer who executes it, are within the stat. 24 Geo. 2. C. 44. To put one case (among an hundred that might happen): suppose a justice of peace issues a warrant to search a house for stolen goods, and desires it to for his servants, who search a house for stolen goods, and [ILL] it to [ILL] this servants, who search & find no stolen goods, but [ILL] all the books and papers of the owner of the house, whether in such a case would be the justice of peace, his officers or servants [ILL] within [ILL] Stat 24 Geo. 2.
