Dear Sir Robert,
I was prevented from calling on you last night, but, as the [ILL] understood, that judgement was to be to-morrow in the cause of Griffin and Deatker, I hasten to answer the [ILL] part of your note to Mr. Jce Hyde first, I strongly incline to think, that the Stat: 24 Geo. II. Ch. 44. Extends to this country, & that we are Justices of the Peace within the meaning of it.
