Deft stated to be an ihb: of Calca or a Brit: Subj: residing in Bengal & subject to the Jurisdon.
1. Cot that Huggins on 20 Aug 84 was possd of 5498 bags of rice, 360 [peecul?] of Tin &c [prout] and that Huggins in his life time lost the goods, [which] came by finding to the hands of Deft who tho’ often reqd by Huggins & since his death by Plf to deliver the same, hath refused so to do, and afterwards viz 14 Dec: 1785 converted them to his own use.
2d Count states the possession of the goods to have been in the Admon after the deceased of Huggins viz 1 Oct 1785, that he (the Plf) lost them, Deft found them & converted them to his own use. Dams SR 30000 and Plf brings into Court the Lres of Admon
