who is, a Member of the Council, next to the Governor-General. Mr. Barwell in his Evidence introduced some curious opinions relative to the Powers of Government as he call’d it, respecting their taking away Land held by Pottah. I intend to have a Copy of his Deposition, and to insert it in this Book, or in an Appendix to it.
The Pottah is dated May 1st 1764.
