About the end of July last or beg of August, I was on board my ship. I found my bureau had been broke open, and a gold watch and some things of Silver were missing.
I went on Deck and found Domingo had absconded that morning. I suspected him & gave information of it to Mr. Motte. In a few days afterwards Mr. Motte’s peons took him.
Mr. Motte sent for me
