I am a Sercar in the service of Mr. Mui. On the 19th or 20th of Jaisty last, a man named Gowrheri Mitre brought came to Mr. Muir’s house and asked me if any one was there, who would buy a draught on the Treasury. I said, that sometimes my master, and sometimes Crishna Persad Haldher, and sometimes Ram Crishna Melic purchased such draughts. After this I introduced him to Tilacram Sercar, who was immediately under Mr. Muir’s Banyan: they had some conversation, but what it was, I do not know.
