which we were all of Opinion ought to have been added to shew to the Jury Court that the writing was a Deed, as the Prosecutors Mr. Law and Mr. Young have call’d it in the Indictment.
We all declared too, that these Persian Writings are not Deeds within the woods or construction of the 2d George 2d chapter 25th, because Delivery in the Technical Sence of the English Law is not necessary to their validity.
There were Sixteen Counts in the Indictment Eight on One Persian Writing, Eight in another, and all intended to be for felony, under the Description of the Statute of 2. G. 2d. C. 25 of Forging a Deed, uttering it, assisting in Forging
