of three months, and to be tried by a Court Martial, and to be discharged from the service of the said United Company, without the consent of the said Francis Balladon Thomas, whereby the said Francis Balladon Thomas suffered great and anguish of body and mind, was hindred and prevented froM transacting his lawful affairs and business, was compelled to expend and lay out divers large sums of money, to wit, at Calcutta aforesaid, and was deprived of his said office of Surgeon in the service of the said United Company, and was put to great scandal, shame and disgrace, to the damage of the said Francis Balladon Thomas, of two hundred thousand sicca rupees.
To this Declaration the Defendant pleaded, the General Issue
