Wts is Dep: Sheriff, & appears to have acted with much tenderness towards Plf. He explained to Plf that the office was under his direction, assured him that he shod not go to Jail, & desired that if any of the peons or sercars wanted to exact money from him, he wod inform Wts of it. Wts relates the difficulties which Plf had to procure Bail.
