prisoner gave I believe 100 blows, and she fainted away.
On her making a great noise I went up to try to part them, & I recd two blows from the prisr with a cane; one on the eye of which the mark remains, and two or three others.
They beat her on the shoulders, back &hips, & other parts of her body of which she bears the marks. At last they left her of their own accord.
