were pd to Deft by D: K. 3578 as Interest due on Compy’s bds (on 5 Augt 1783) & the Sum of 12000 CR on the 10th Jan: 1784. But that D. K. did not inform him that either of those sums was pd on account of the sd Joint bond to Deft nor did he engage to receive either of those sums on accot of that bond on the contrary he understood & does still under
stand
