I am an Ensign in the Compy’s service. I know Mr. Thos Lee (last wts) and was at his house, in the Veranda on the 6th of Oct last in the Evening. I saw the prisr come in. He inqgd for a watch which was produced & when he was asked where got it, he said that one of his Sercars had taken it of a Mr. Smith, or a Smith [by trade,] I know not which and that he had paid 600 Rs
