Thief, several people of the neighbourhood also ran after him, and Mo [ill] u’ddin who came afterwards pursued him with us. We came up to him. I first seized him and then others laid hold of him. The prisoner was the man, whom I seized. I tied him, and carried him to the Maulavi with this[ill] and these clothes which now lie before one and were in his hands, when I seized him: I took them from him by force.
I had never seen him before – I carried him & the things to the Moulavy. I afterwards saw him before Mr. Justice Hyde & Mr. Motte. I am sure this is the Man.
