An Action on the Case to recover about Two Thousand Rupees, as for work and labour done, Some of the Counts were on a special agreement by a Bengal Writing, others general on common Counts for work and labour.
The Plaintiff was Sercar or Mutseddy to Major Tolley who had a grant of a Nullah or small River which runs under Sermon’s Bridge near the New Fort.
The Bengal Paper was produced and proved with an English Translation by which it appears the Defendant undertakes to pay to the Plaintiff Three Thousand Arcot Rupees, at three different times.
