Arrival in Calc in Choyt, the Gomastah of the Pergunnah sent a sample of paddy to Calc to shew how it was spoilt by Plf’s not receiving it. I shewd it to Plf who proms that hiss people shd rec it soon – Deft declined the 2d Sum of 10,000 SR bec. of this cond on part of Plf. At length (on Plf’s proms) consented to take it; & to let Plf have 2 Golahs

The two modes of measuring are by the same Pally, the one more the other less heaped. When 87 Putties were in the large heap, perhaps then might be 20 or 25 in the small ones; & then was more then landing from boats.
