first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight and in the twenty eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and, at divers other days and times between that day and the day of taking this inquest, at Calcutta aforesaid and Factory of Fort William aforesaid in Bengal aforesaid falsly fraudulently and deceitfully did pretend give out and assert to me Goordial that he the said Ramlochun Munshee had full power and Authority to licence and protect the said Goordial in setting up maintaining and keeping a certain house in the said Town of Calcutta, wherein he the said Goordial might without fear of being molested, permit and suffer for his own Lucre and Gain any ill disposed persons to frequent and come together and then and there as well in the day time as in the night at any hours to play for Money at any Games Artifices Practices and Devices with Cowries and to lay wages with each other relating to the throwing the Cowries and the said Ramlochurn Munshee then & there did propose and offer to the said Goordial that
